We made a small demonstration of a multi-touch Brainstorm tool. It really works great, even considering it’s still in early alpha state. We have coupled it with some nice print functionality. Check out the video:

A couple days ago I started a new Google code project called: “Tractable”. Tractable will not only include an improved version of the “rotatable scalable” but supply users with a complete behavioral multi-touch framework. This project will be published under the MIT license. Here you’ll find some excerpt of our road-map:
Roadmap Tractable project
Introduction
Tractable is a new AS3 class for rotating scaling and dragging DisplayObjects in a multi-touch enabled setup. It’s a direct competitor with the build-in gesture “pinch” libraries from Adobe itself which it shipped with the latest release of the Flash Player 10.1. These libraries are insufficient when it comes to intuitive and “free” control allowing only one manipulation at the time (rotate vs. scale).
Tractable also forms an alternative to parts of commercial efforts like Ideums GestureWorks which allows it’s users a great deal of manipulation freedom. However, we will not create a full-blown framework like GestureWorks. The tractable project will only focus on the creation of efficient manipulation classes which can be reused in several environments.

We just published the Newswell trial version. It’s a time restricted version which runs for 5 minutes. The XML file have Dutch news feeds at the moment. But this can easily be changed. Syntax of the XML feeds is the following:

Next to a pretty large amount of price-requests we also received allot of questions lately. One of the more prominent questions was about the compatibility of our products with the new Microsoft Windows 7 and it’s native touch-events. Through the use of Apple Boot Camp we have installed Windows 7 on the Touchy Remix quite easily. We still working on the touch input but things look really promising. Through the use of open-source TUIO to Windows touch converters we will be able the run all the touch enabled applications written with the Microsoft Surface Touch API in the .net framework.
So stay tuned for more updates about touch-event handling and Windows 7 compatibility.
